In honor of Flag Day, Re/Max Mountain Property would like to invite you to a FREE showing of the movie "Taking Chance. The movie will be shown on Sunday, June 10th at 3:15 PM at the the Ennis Movie Theatre. Re/Max will treat everyone to a drink and popcorn.
Seating is available for 140, and will be on a first come first seated basis.
As you probably know, a large portion of the movie was filmed here in Ennis with a lot of our neighbors enlisted as "extras".

What Do Home Buyers Really Want?

We are entering a Sellers market here in Ennis, and while price is always a driving factor, there are many other things that buyers are looking for:
These days, many Americans are considering smaller homes. The most online searches are for homes in the area of 1400-2600 square feet.
Some of the other amenities that potential buyers are looking for are:
Master bedroom suites with walk-in closets and separate shower and tub combinations.
Energy efficient windows, appliances, and lighting ( with an emphasis on natural lighting).
A large linen closet located near the bedrooms.
A central living area with high (at least 9 feet ceilings) that includes the kitchen, dining room and a living room or great room.
Split zone heating with programmable thermostats so that rooms that are unused can be closed off to save energy.
Energy efficient insulation throughout with extra insulation in the attic.
High end upgrades such as granite countertops and wood or tile flooring.
Lots of storage space. People have a lot of stuff, that's why the storage business is booming.
These are some tips to keep in mind if you will be building or renovating your home.
At minimum, you will want 3 bedrooms 2 baths. Even single buyers often want a guest room and a den/office.
If you will be adding a garage, always consider an attached garage or at least a covered walk way between the home and garage. This makes carrying groceries, children, furniture etc so much easier. And always make the garage or any other addition as large as your budget allows.

9.23.2017 Yesterday was the Homecoming Parade in Ennis. A bit chilly and a few snowflakes, but spirits were high and the crowd was happy. Here is the start of the parade with the band and the Kindergarten.
